New York’s Bottle Bill Law is already the most effective recycling program in the state and it needs to be expanded. The modernized Bottle Bill will decrease litter, save municipalities money, support local redemption businesses, create local jobs, and save local taxpayers $100 million annually in reduced litter costs and waste disposal.

The beverage industry has changed dramatically over the last forty years and it’s time for New York State’s Bottle Bill to catch up! I urge the Senator/Assemblymember to please support this much-needed bill. Thank you.”
